Definitions
Official statutory text
As used in this act:
(1) "person" means individual, corporation, government or
governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust,
partnership or association, or any other legal entity;
(2) "educational institution" means any university, college,
community college, junior college, high school, technical,
vocational or professional school, wherever located, approved or
accredited by that officer, department, board, agency or other
official entity of this state, authorized under law to approve or to
accredit for educational purposes that particular type of
university, college, school or institution of learning, or, in the
absence, as to the particular type of institution, of any such
officer, department, board, agency or other official entity, by the
State Board of Education, for the purposes of this act, or by the
appropriate official, department or agency of the state in which the
institution is located; and
(3) "educational loan" means a loan or assistance for the
purpose of directly furthering the obligor's education at an
educational institution.
