Official statutory text
Upon the holding of any such special election, the precinct
board of canvassers, shall canvass the vote, make and certify the
returns upon the election of county and township officers, and shall
make and certify the returns upon the formation of such new county,
or the detaching of said territory, to their respective county
election board, which said board shall, immediately, in the presence
of said special election commissioners canvass all such returns of
elections held, as provided herein.
