Grievance procedures

A. Every health maintenance organization shall establish and

maintain a grievance procedure that has been approved by the

Insurance Commissioner to provide for the resolution of grievances

initiated by enrollees. Such grievance procedure shall be approved

by the Insurance Commissioner within thirty (30) days of submission.

The health maintenance organization shall maintain a record of

grievances received since the date of its last examination of

grievances.

B. The Insurance Commissioner may examine the grievance

procedures.

C. Health maintenance organizations shall comply with the

requirements of an insurer as set out in Sections 1250.1 through

1250.16 of this title.
