Participation in federal program

Official statutory text

The board of county commissioners of any county, the governing

board of any city or town, the school board, or board of education

of any school district is hereby authorized to participate in any

federal government program dealing with fire prevention or with the

purchasing or leasing of fire-fighting equipment, and said governing

boards hereinabove enumerated are hereby authorized to receive and

expend any Federal grant or equipment made available by the federal

government and to coordinate their program with the rules and

regulations prescribed by the appropriate federal agency.
