Demonstration permits - Record of purchases and sales

A. Upon issuance of a license to sell new vessels or new
motors, there shall be assigned and issued to such dealer three
demonstration permits for vessels, three demonstration permits for
motors, or three demonstration permits for each such class the
dealer has been authorized to sell. Such permits shall be displayed
upon each vessel or motor owned by the dealer when the vessel or
motor is driven or displayed on any water of this state. No such
demonstration permit issued to any dealer shall be used or displayed
upon any secondhand or used vessel or motor, or upon any new vessel
or motor which is for private use, or for hire. Any dealer or agent
thereof for purposes of demonstrating a vessel or motor for a sale,
or any other person, with consent of the dealer, while contemplating
purchase, may operate a new vessel or motor with the dealer's
demonstration permit affixed so long as this intent is limited to a
consecutive seventy-two-hour period, or a weekend. For the purposes
of this subsection, "driven or displayed on any water of this state"
does not include the use of a vessel or motor for participation in a
contest.
B. Each dealer of new and used vessels or motors, shall keep a
record of the purchase and sale of each vessel or motor he buys or
sells, which shall show the name of the seller or buyer as the case
may be, and a complete description of the vessel or motor purchased
or sold, and such other information as Service Oklahoma may
prescribe.
