Closing of existing streets or highways

Official statutory text

No existing improved street or highway shall be closed by reason

of the construction and operation of such toll expressway, except

such temporary closing as may be required for the safety of the

public during construction, maintenance or repair, without the

express consent of the governing body of any city, county or state

agency having jurisdiction over such street or highway. All

connections with streets or highways shall meet the normal safety

requirements established by the city, county or state agency having

jurisdiction over such connecting street or highway.
