Competitive bidding for provision of supplies and

services under Medicare Part B.
A. The Department of Veterans Affairs shall develop and adopt
procedures for competitively bidding an agreement for supplies and
services under Medicare Part B as approved by the Director of
Central Purchasing.
B. Upon the effective date of this act, the Department of
Veterans Affairs shall annually compile a list of Medicare Part B
supplies and services in use in veterans centers throughout the
state.
C. The Department shall, upon request, make such list
available, along with information on the Department's competitive
bid procedures, to any vendor interested in providing supplies and
services under Medicare Part B.
D. Vendors may subsequently participate in competitive bidding
by submitting a sealed itemized bid to the Department. The
Department shall select from among the submitted bids, the overall
lowest and best bid.
