The State Accrediting Agency shall:
(a) Select its officers from its membership.
(b) Adopt necessary rules governing its proceedings.
(c) Be authorized to appoint and fix the compensation of a
director, shall employ and fix the duties and compensation of such
clerical or other assistants necessary to effectuate the provisions
of Sections 241 and 242 of this title, and approve all expenditures.
The Agency shall elect officers annually. Except as provided in
Sections 840.8 and 840.10 of Title 74 of the Oklahoma Statutes, all
officers, positions and employees of the State Accrediting Agency
shall be subject to the provisions of the Merit System of Personnel
Administration as created by the Oklahoma Personnel Act, Section
840.1 et seq. of Title 74 of the Oklahoma Statutes and the rules
promulgated thereunder. Nothing contained herein shall change the
classified or unclassified status of any person employed by the
State Accrediting Agency on the effective date of this act.
