The Department of Public Welfare shall study the advisability of the adoption of a protocol for the screening of anonymous referrals of suspected child abuse which might include requiring some corroboration of the alleged abuse prior to the commencement of an appropriate investigation under 23 Pa.C.S. The Department of Public Welfare shall report its conclusions and recommendations to the General Assembly regarding anonymous referrals no later than June 1, 1996. References in Text. The Department of Public Welfare, referred to in this section, was redesignated as the Department of Human Services by Act 132 of 2014.
