Reporting requirement satisfied by notice to legislators of publication of report

If a statute requires an official or entity of state government to make a report to each member of the general assembly, the statute is satisfied if the official or entity notifies each of the members in writing to each member's office that the report has been published. A member may then notify the official or entity if the member chooses to receive a copy of the report. The member may give such notice by electronic mail or facsimile transmission. The notice shall provide a date or a period of time in which the member shall respond. A failure of a member to respond to the notice shall be considered the same as a member declining to receive a copy of such report. Acts 1998, ch. 790, § 1.
