Remote learning drill

(a) An LEA shall conduct a remote learning drill at least once, but not more than twice, each school year to ensure that schools, students, and parents of students can easily transition from in-person learning to remote learning. The drill must accurately reflect the LEA's plan for transitioning students to remote learning in the event of a disruption to school operations. An LEA shall not require or ask a student to transition to remote learning at any time during a remote learning drill conducted by the LEA. (b) An LEA shall address any issues that are identified during the remote learning drill. (c) The department of education shall develop guidance to assist LEAs in conducting remote learning drills.
