§ 39.034. MEASURE OF ANNUAL IMPROVEMENT IN STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT.
Official statutory text
(a) The commissioner shall determine a method by which the agency may measure annual improvement in student achievement from one school year to the next on an assessment instrument required under this subchapter.
(b) For emergent bilingual students, as defined by Section 29.052, the agency shall use a student's performance data on reading proficiency assessment instruments in English and one other language to calculate the student's progress toward dual language proficiency.
