Official statutory text
A receiver for an abolished municipality shall collect all unpaid taxes levied before the date of abolition for municipal or school purposes, together with any penalties or interest that is due. The receiver shall pay the part of the taxes levied for maintaining the public schools to the trustees of the school district, who shall use the taxes for the purpose for which they were levied.
