§ 49.072. LIMITATION ON FUTURE EMPLOYMENT.

(a) A person who has served as a director of a district may not contract with that district or be employed by an organization to which the district has awarded a contract for one year following the date on which the person ceased to serve as a director.

(b) This section does not apply to a person who has served as a director of a district that performs agricultural irrigation functions under Chapter 51, 55, or 58 if the person, when serving as a director, was required to own land as a qualification for office.
