§ 51A.008. PUBLIC PURPOSE.
Official statutory text
This chapter facilitates and advances the conservation and reclamation of the natural resources of this state by permitting certain water control and improvement districts to extend fresh water supply and distribution facilities, storm water and flood control facilities, and sanitary sewage collection and treatment facilities into areas that have previously not received such facilities. The reclamation of land for development and use as residential neighborhoods will be implemented and the health, welfare, and safety of residents of those neighborhoods will be additionally protected.
