§ 10-6-137. City recorder -- Office -- Meetings and records -- Certified records as evidence.

Official statutory text

(1) The office of the city recorder shall be located at the place of the governing body or at some other place convenient to the place of the governing body, as the governing body directs. (2) (a) Except as provided in Subsection (2)(b), the city recorder or a deputy city recorder shall attend the meetings and keep the record of the proceedings of the governing body. (b) An individual designated by a municipal services district to provide recorder or clerk services to a city is not required to attend a meeting of the city governing body if the individual ensures compliance with the meeting minutes and recording requirements of Section 52-4-203. (c) Copies of all papers filed in the recorder's office and transcripts from all records of the governing body, if certified by the recorder under the corporate seal, are admissible in all courts as originals.
