Mr. Holt received his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Utah in 1981. He then enrolled in the College of Law at the University of Utah, graduating in 1984. He graduated in the top 10% of his class and was inducted into the Order of the Coif upon graduation. He was also an Articles Editor of the Utah Law Review during his time at law school.. He began his career at the Phoenix firm of Evans, Kitchel & Jenckes in the fall of 1984. In 1990 he founded the firm of Mecham & Holt, Chartered, where he could focus on the needs of individual clients.. Although Mr. Holt has over 20 years of experience in civil litigation, he now limits his practice to estate planning and asset protection planning. He has established hundreds of trusts and many asset protection structures using family limited partnerships, limited liability companies and even offshore asset protection trusts.  His litigation experience helps him to evaluate his client’s needs in light of potential challenges and ensures that any plan he puts into place for a client will stand the test of time.. Mr. Holt is married and is the father of three children. He has served as Volunteer Bar Counsel to the State Bar and was previously associated with the Maricopa County Bar Association Lawyer Referral Program. He is active in his church and serves on its Boy Scout Troop Committee and is a member of the West Maricopa County Bar Association and the State Bar of Arizona.
