Joe has over thirty years of business experience starting with his first flight school at the tender young age of 18. Since then he has bought and sold several large and small businesses. Joe’s last company was a high-end motorcycle dealership that he started from scratch and in ten years built to annual gross sales in excess of seven million dollars including the purchase of his closest competitor. Joe was the president of the Motorcycle Dealers Association for six years and a member of two separate “20 Groups” that helped him to hone his business skills. Joe sold that business through Murphy Business and was so happy with the results that he purchased the Murphy Franchise for the State of Wyoming.. Joe has five years of experience practicing law in the State of Wyoming (As my Dad would say, I wasn’t a good enough piano player to get a job in a c-house, so… might as well be a lawyer!) Joe was lately hired by West Publishing, which at the time was the largest private publishing corporation in the world. There, he was a top ten traveling salesman for five years. After leaving West, Joe sold business aircraft including turboprops and small jets in Denver.. Joe’s experience in business, sales, and the law give him the unique qualifications needed for a successful business broker. As a former buyer and seller of businesses, Joe understands the emotions that are involved with selling your baby or investing every penny that you have in a new dream. Additionally, he can help with machinery / equipment appraisals, business valuations, and commercial real estate.. While growing up, Joe worked for his parent’s land surveying company and was fortunate enough to see the entire State of Wyoming as well as most of the surrounding states up close. Those days of bouncing around in a Dodge pickup with hot air blowing in and antelope racing for the joy of running have instilled in him a lasting love for the State and the treasures that we share. Joe wants to share that bounty with his children and the next generation of guardians to this wonderful State that we call home.. Joe graduated from Casper College (Harvard on the Hill) with an AS in business and the University of Wyoming with a BS in business and a Juris Doctor. Joe is an accomplished pilot with an Airline Transport Pilot rating – Single / Multi and Helicopter Flight Instructor. He is a certified BMW, Ducati Motorcycle mechanic and holds an FAA Airframe and Powerplant mechanic certificate including Inspection Authorization. Joe is a trained Business Transfer Specialist, holds a Wyoming Real Estate license, a certified machinery and equipment appraiser and he is a very slow gunsmith.
