He is a dedicated volunteer in various organizations benefiting youth, including the Richardson YMCA, Richardson Neighborhood and youth services, and the Allen Sports Association and in school district booster clubs for the Allen and Lovejoy ISD's.. Mr. Hughey and his wife have five children. Their oldest is now an attorney and a member of the firm.
