About Alan Taggart
Alan founded The Taggart Firm almost 25 years ago with one mission – serving the legal needs of his community with excellence and integrity. He has helped clients with a wide variety of legal issues and is board-certified in criminal law. He has also served as an expert in firearms law.. Alan knows first-hand how important a good family law attorney is – he raised his own two daughters as a single dad from the time they were toddlers. His experience gave him a passion for finding custody solutions that are truly in the best interests of the children involved.. He also served his country in the United States Army on active reserve and was promoted to Captain in 2005 after entering inactive reserve in 1995. Alan maintains a life-long commitment to Army values, including loyalty, integrity, and respect.. A native of Dallas, Alan is a licensed pilot and avid collector of vintage rifles. He enjoys spending time with his now-grown daughters (when he can get them to slow down long enough for a visit), reading science fiction, going to the shooting range, and working on old cars.
