Tamara’s interest and experience in the construction industry land use started before she enrolled in Columbia University and continued during law school education. Prior to earning her BA, Tamara worked in various administrative roles in the construction field. After completing her BA, she worked for several years as project manager in the insurance restoration industry and further developed her knowledge of construction contracts, business relationships, and industry practices. As a result, Tamara is prudent to both the value and challenges of the intersecting relationships of contractors, sub-contractors, clients, vendors, and insurance companies. Furthermore, at her graduation from Rutgers-Newark School of Law, Tamara was awarded the Kenneth G. Wolfson Land Use Prize, which is given to the graduating student showing the greatest interest and scholarship in the field of land use law.. In addition to concentrating her interests in construction law and land use, Tamara approaches life and the practice of law with compassion and a desire to give back to her community. During her second year of law school, Tamara was a 2L Representative for the Public Interest Law Foundation (PILF), a student-run non-profit organization that raises funds for students working in the public interest field. As a fundraising committee member for Meals with a Mission, a non-profit organization that provides over 75,000 healthy meals each year to local shelters and impoverished families, Tamara has helped organize various fundraising events. Tamara relies on her empathy in communicating with her family law clientele and her perseverance when advocating their behalf.
