My practice focuses on Franchise and Distribution Law and Litigation.  I represent franchisors, the companies that develop and sell franchise concepts, as well as  franchisees, the unit level owners, in all aspects of franchising.. I guide my clients through substantial business transactions, provide practical business advice and counsel on the technical aspects of the law. I also represent clients in complex commercial litigation involving issues of business law, trade secrets, trade regulation, intellectual property and contract disputes.. I am licensed to practice in Tennessee and Louisiana. I am an active member of both the Tennessee Bar Association and the Louisiana State Bar Association. I also am actively involved in the American Bar Association's Forum on Franchising and the Section of Litigation. I am a regular contributor to the Louisiana Bar Journal and to American Bar Association publications. I am respected by my peers for the thoroughness and quality of my work, frequently working on referral and as local counsel for out of state attorneys.. I represent businesses in complex commercial litigation, which often include issues involving trade secrets, confidentiality, non-competition, trademark infringement and breach of contract.. In health care matters, I represent physicians exclusively.
