Attorney Carol Park is a native Kansan and has spent most of her life in the state. Born in Dodge City, she has been a member of the Hays community since graduating from the Washburn School of Law in 2006.. Carol always knew that she wanted to be in a helping profession, and originally considered becoming a psychologist. While in college, she took an honors course at the law school and realized that she might be able to help people even more as an attorney, working to solve problems in a concrete and practical way. Having been close to people in her own life who could have benefited from compassionate legal help, Carol wanted to provide this service to others.. Carol dedicates her practice to areas of the law that address concerns people have in everyday life: divorce, business disputes, injuries, debt, and planning for the future of their families. She considers the best part of her work to be her interactions with clients, getting to know them and helping them through difficult times in their lives. Carol derives great satisfaction from being able to provide clients with the answers and support they need. She considers her ability to listen and offer meaningful advice to clients one of her greatest strengths.. Colleagues describe Carol as honest and reasonable, and as an excellent researcher, writer and advocate.  In 2012, Carol was appointed to the Kansas Child Support Guidelines Advisory Committee and, in 2013, she was selected for the Kansas Board of Law Examiners by the Chief Justice of the Kansas Supreme Court. Carol is also active in a number of other professional organizations, and has served as the president and secretary of the Ellis County Bar Association, coordinating its annual CLE event for many years.. When not practicing law, Carol enjoys spending time with her husband, stepson, and daughter, and is an active member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Hays.  She is an adjunct faculty member in the Justice Studies department at Fort Hays State University.
