A graduate of the Yale School of Drama, she worked in Hollywood for many years and brings that wealth of experience to helping others do the same. Jan spent more than a decade with comedy legend Garry Marshall, and was one of his attorneys until his death in 2016. She now represents the non-profit that bears his name, as well as many of Mr. Marshall's associates, friends, and colleagues in the industry.. Ms. Breslauer's writings have appeared in the Los Angeles Times, the New York Times, the Washington Post, Vanity Fair, The New Republic and many other periodicals. Her articles on legal and governmental issues in the arts have been cited in Amicus briefs before the United States Supreme Court and in the United States Congressional Record.
