Smith at the United States Bankruptcy Court in Santa Ana, California.  Before attending USC Law School, Mr. Velie earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from San Diego State University.  Mr. Velie graduated Magna Cum Laude with a distinction in Finance.  In addition Mr. Velie graduated from San Diego State's inaugural Business Honors Program, and earned membership into Phi Beta Kappa's honor society.  Mr. Velie also studied Finance at the Balliol College of Economics at Oxford University in England during which time he earned a membership in the Oxford Union..
