Petro is Vice President of the Ukrainian-American Bar Association and an active member of Inter-American Bar Association and Beverly Hills Bar Association. He lectured on various occasions at universities in Latin America, Ukraine, South Africa and China. In Ukraine, Petro initiated a course in English called "Introduction to U.S. Law." Every week, Petro writes articles on legal topics in for several Spanish language newspapers in the Los Angeles area.. Petro is admitted to the California State Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. Petro is fluent in Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese as well as his native Ukrainian and Russian. Outside his career, Petro's biggest passion is to travel the world. By now, he has visited over 80 countries.
