Her experience spans both complex and uncontested cases involving divorce, spousal support, child custody, child support, property division, and domestic violence.. A Southern California native, Charrisse earned her undergraduate degrees in Sociology and Black Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Following her studies, she dedicated a year to public service through the AmeriCorps VISTA program, working at an inner-city high school. There, she found joy in mentoring students, helping them grow academically and socially as they prepared for college and life beyond.. Charrisse went on to earn her law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan, where she consistently made the Dean’s List. She also held leadership roles in the Student Bar Association and the Black Law Students Association, both locally and nationally. Notably, she was the first student from her law school to serve on the Executive Board for the Midwestern Region of the Black Law Students Association.. Passionate about mentorship, Charrisse enjoys advising young attorneys and aspiring legal professionals.
