For example, John has obtained a 5.2 million dollar verdict in Prince George's County, Maryland, for a client who sustained a ureteral injury during a hysterectomy. This verdict was one of the largest verdicts in Southern Maryland and was one of the largest ureteral injury verdicts obtained in the history of the United States. John also obtained a 3.5 million dollar verdict for a client who sustained a bowel injury during a hysterectomy due to the medical negligence of a physician. The verdict was the largest verdict ever obtained in Calvert County history. John also represents clients in an abundance of personal injury claims stemming from truck, motorcycle and automobile accidents, as well as claims stemming from injuries sustained in fires and fire explosions and slip/trip and fall accidents. In fact, John recently obtained a verdict for a client against Safeway in a trip and fall accident in the amount of 1.62 million dollars. John has been routinely recognized by his peers in the legal community as one of the top lawyers in his field in Maryland, Washington, D.C., and the Metro Area. Thereafter, he worked at the law offices of Thomas V. Mike Miller, Jr., P.A., as a civil litigator for many years.
