Mr. Sonny Tran is a lawyer with 10-years of construction management experience prior to practicing law.   He was born in Columbia, SC and spent most of his childhood growing up in Charlotte, NC. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Civil-Construction Engineering from North Carolina State University, he worked as a construction manager on several high profile residential, commercial and mixed-use developments in the Washington, DC area.  Such projects include The Hartford mixed-used development in Arlington, VA, the CityVisa mixed-used development in DC’s Mt. Vernon neighborhood, and the Harbourside condominiums located along DC’s Georgetown Waterfront.  He collaborated with many city officials, developers, design consultants and subcontractors in successfully completing each project over a 9-yr span.. During his time in Washington, DC, Mr. Tran help managed the construction and renovation of over 900 residential units and several commercial projects totaling over $250,000,000.  He sought bid proposals and negotiated contracts with various contractors, vendors and suppliers totaling over $35,000,000.. Mr. Tran returned to his hometown of Charlotte, earned his Juris Doctor degree and gained valuable legal skills in areas relating to various business matters and property law.  His knowledge of International Business Arbitration and International Internet Law is attributed to his experience studying abroad in Paris, France under the guidance of the honorable Judge Hawkins and Judge McKeown.  Both judges are federal judges on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.. With the background and experience in construction, real estate development, and land use, Mr. Tran has a unique and technical understanding of many issues relating to those areas of law.  Combining those prior technical skills with the legal skills have prepared Mr. Tran and his team to effectively navigate clients through many legal issues involing: Construction Law, Business & Corporate Law, Estate Planning (Wills and Trusts), Real Estate & Land Use, Accidents & Personal Injury.
