From there, she moved to an insurance defense firm, working primarily on municipal defense, such as police excessive force cases. She then worked for a firm practicing business law, probate and estate planning.. The experience she gained in working at these firms, together with her education and social work experience, equipped Julie with the expertise needed to develop her own practice serving clients in probate, estate planning and business law.
