Julie received her bachelor of science in child development with honors from Michigan State University and her juris doctor degree from Wayne State University. While attending Wayne State University, she served as a student attorney at the Free Legal Aid Clinic in Detroit and as a student intern for the Honorable Gerald R. Rosen, United States District Court - Eastern Division of Michigan. Julie entered the legal field in 2001 as a legal assistant working for a firm practicing in estate planning, business law, bankruptcy, real estate and general civil litigation. From there, she moved to an insurance defense firm, working primarily on municipal defense, such as police excessive force cases. She then worked for a firm practicing business law, probate and estate planning. The experience she gained in working at these firms, together with her education and social work experience, equipped Julie with the expertise needed to develop her own practice serving clients in probate, estate planning and business law.
