Maria A. Vivanco is a founding shareholder of Mooneeram + Serres + Vivanco, P. A., whose practice includes insurance litigation, first party property claims, and breach of contract, premise liability and personal injury.. Maria aspired to be an attorney since she was six years old.  She was born in Santiago, Chile and moved to Miami with her family at the age of seventeen.  Maria attended Florida International University where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and a minor in American History.. Maria worked full time as a paralegal, while attending evening classes at Nova Southeastern University, Sheppard Broad College of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor degree.  Despite her hectic schedule, Maria made the Dean’s list each semester, received a CALI Book Award in recognition of receiving the highest score in Interviewing, Counseling and Negotiation, and graduated Magna Cum Laude where she ranked in the top 3% of her class.. Prior to establishing Mooneeram + Serres + Vivanco, P.A., Maria worked as an Associate Attorney at a Miami Plaintiff’s Personal Injury and Maritime firm.  In recognition of her exceptional results, Maria was quickly promoted to Senior Associate, where she managed the Personal Injury department and oversaw the firm’s premise liability, slip and fall, motorcycle, pedestrian, and automobile accident claims. Maria also handled several maritime liability cases.  Maria also  appears regularly as a consulting attorney on Univision’s regularly syndicated evening news program “Noticiero Univision.”. Maria takes an active, hands-on approach on all of her cases and has an affinity for understanding and tackling her client’s objectives. With over fifteen years of combined experience as a paralegal and attorney handling personal injury claims, Maria is extremely adept at addressing the wide range of needs and concerns of her clients..
