As an attorney at Skeen & Skeen, P.C., I handle all aspects of litigation arising in the course of bankruptcy. Our firm handles cases for debtors, creditors, and chapter 7 trustees from all over Colorado. If you are charged with a DUI or DUID, or other criminal charges,I can help you. I limit my practice to defending people, just like you, charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Drugs (marijuana). I defend people charged with drug charges, assaults, domestic violence, vehicular homicides and vehicular assaults, and all other criminal cases.. Over the years I have both defended clients and prosecuted defendants so I understand what the prosecuter in your case is thinking. I first "work your case", which means I look at every angle and every piece of evidence in your case. I have been successful in trying cases to jury trials and also dealing with prosecutors in getting the very best plea for my client. This includes dismissals, Reckless Driving, Deferred Judgement and Sentence (DJS), DWAI, and other outcomes.. There are many ways you can "win" with your DUI case. Sometimes a person has a record of prior "DUI" convictions and if we cannot beat the evidence in your case, then getting very little jail and work release is what that client considers a "win" in his/her case. Also, there are other ways to win. You can go to trial and win and get acquitted; or you can get a "Non-Alcohol" result such as a plea to Careless Driving or Reckless Driving. I have gotten many of these for my clients. Also, there is a "Deferred Judgment and Sentence" in some jurisdictions which means that after you do the treatment and other requirements, the Court will DISMISS your case.. There is a lot of evidence to look at in a DUI case. What makes your case different from a "criminal case" is that much of the evidence in your case is science based. That is why I go to DUI science based trainings and am a member of the College of Drunk Driving Defense and a founding member of the DUI Defense Lawyers Association. These provide specialized training to be able to defend YOU.. There is an important part of your defense that needs a good criminal lawyer. I have been also practicing criminal law for years. I will look at how the law enforcement officer "stopped" your car (4th Amendment violation), if the officer "interviewed you while in custody" (Miranda Rights), and determine if there really was "probable cause" to arrest you.. The invisible factor that I have is I am tenacious and determined to give you the very best DUI defense that I can. Many times I have driven to court early in the morning just to add my client's case on the Court docket so I can address something in your case that needed immediate attention. You don't know that because you are home asleep or at work. It is going the extra mile that I do for my clients because you deserve that extra mile.. I earned my Masters in rehabilitation counseling and worked with substance abuse populations before going to law school. This gives me an insightful perspective on alcohol and drug offenses that few lawyers possess. I know this is a very stressful time for you and I do everything I can to help you through this and give you excellent legal direction.

I've focused on employment law since my second year in law school. I work with people who need help with handling problems with their current or former employers. I am happy to help if you've experienced difficulty obtaining family or medical leave, had problems receiving wages or employment benefits, or if you've experienced discrimination, harassment, or retaliation.
I've been representing construction professionals for over 20 years and am frequently called up on to help them navigate complex contract negotiations and assist with licensing requirements, mechanic's liens, risk management, insurance coverage, bond claims, and dispute resolution. I'm known for my pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
I'm originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma and live in the beautiful mountain west states, Colorado and Arizona.. I'm licensed in Colorado and Arizona and have over 23 years of experience helping companies, investors and entrepreneurs with commercial real estate deals, transactions, complex leasing matters and general business law.. When I am not practicing law, I spend as much time as possible enjoying the outdoors, museums and cultural activities and relaxing with my English bulldogs, Moe & Nugget.
I'm an attorney who loves protecting people's rights, challenging the government, resisting illegal police conduct, going to trial, and hearing jurors say the words "not guilty." I also use my years of legal experience and training to come up with creative legal arguments and theories to win cases. While police and prosecutors look for the worst in people, my life is spent looking for, finding, and showing others the best in those people. To me, few things are more fulfilling than getting to zealously advocate for my clients and their rights and interests.. My expertise, opinions, legal work, and cases have also received attention by many within the Colorado media. An example from THE DENVER POST is here:
I'm a recovered litigator, dog lover, avid theater-goer and Denver native. An avid mystery reader as a kid, I originally wanted to be a PI, then a cop. When I was twelve, I decided I wanted to be on the safe side of the law and become a lawyer when I knew the answer to a contract question posed by John Houseman in the movie "The Paper Chase.". I spent the first ten years of my career doing litigation, bankruptcy, banking, troubled real estate and business matters. But, as my mother said, I'm really a social worker with a law degree - estate planning and administration is what I love! I enjoy talking to clients about their family, their values and their desires in order to provide strong, flexible, compassionate and creative solutions for their estate plans. I also can make the difficult task of dealing with a loved one's things after they pass on as easy on you as possible. And my extensive background in commercial litigation, bankruptcy, banking, and troubled real estate, gives me the tools and knowledge to handle any financial issues that may arise along the way.
I'm a Denver based firm, practicing in the areas of: Social Security Disability, Mesothelioma and Asbestos claims, Wills and Estate Planning, Corporate Formation, Landlord Assistance and Property Management and Residential Real Estate Transactions.

I began working as a police officer at 21 years old. I was a college professor with two masters degrees at age 26. By age 30, I was finishing law school. I have since completed a third masters degree and defended over 2000 people who have been accused of crimes. My experience as a defense lawyer includes over 100 jury trials.. Outside of my law practice, I am actively involved in fitness. I have practiced Gracie Jiu Jitsu for 13 years. I am very competitive and I fight for my clients in court the way I fight on the jiu jitsu mat. I use my knowledge, creativity, and experience to get the best results for my clients.
I was admitted to the practice of Law in 1974. In the 44 years since then I have devotedmy career to representing folks who have been put upon by the powers of the State and Federal Government. My clients most often face the loss of their property, freedom as well as the Death Pemalty. I work tirelessly to protect them against the inexhaustible resourse of the government and get them home safe as quickly as possible.. I was a bad alcoholic and cocaine abuser for a number of years. Through good luck and tremendoul outpouring of love and support from my family, friends and the profession I have been given reprieve from that hell for close to 15 years. I want my clients to know from the first time we speak how much I care about them and their case. I practice criminal defense because no one's life should be defined by their worst day, and because everyone has value and an important story to tell. Turning those values and that compassion into a zealous defense is at the core of the service Power Law provides.. I practice holistic criminal defense. This means that I not only strategically defend a client in the case they hire me for, but I will address any underlying concerns while we work together and set my clients up for success. I have extensive experience with cases involving mental health and substance use issues.. In addition to criminal defense, I am passionate about criminal justice policy reform and access to mental health, and I am involved in a number of organizations and projects to further those goals.
I started my legal career nine years ago in the Dallas/Fort Worth area as a solo practitioner helping clients with a broad range of problems including employment law claims, personal injury, family law and consumer law. The focus of my practice was primarily plaintiff-side litigation where I had the opportunity to help individuals and families stand up against entities that had a lot more money, power and presence than my clients. We live in a society where there are very few resources to help fight for justice and fight for a fair stake and even fewer job opportunities where you can earn a living fighting the good fight. Plaintiff-side legal work is one of the rare opportunities to earn a living fighting for a more just society.. As time went on and I refined my skills as a litigator I also refined the focus of my practice to spend less time on family law and consumer law and more time on employment law and personal injury. You don't have to drive far or watch much television in Texas to know there are a lot of personal injury attorneys but there are far fewer employment lawyers practicing plantiff-side who seriously delve into this highly technical area of law as more than a side hustle. I decided to narrow my practice to these two areas to better utilize my expertise and skills.. After spending thirty-five years in Texas my wife and I decided it was time for a new adventure and packed our bags and headed to Denver, Colorado. Once settled and licensed in Colorado I sought out employment with a firm. While I enjoyed the freedom of solo practice, I missed the commraderie of a larger workplace. Working in a larger firm meant more resources to tackle larger problems and more complex claims that are sometimes difficult to do from a single desk. I've spent my time here practicing exclusively personal injury, continuing to fight for plaintiffs against insurance companies who work very hard to take advantage of injured Coloradans.
I spent five years as an associate alongside of some of Denver's top DUI and criminal defense attorneys, which provided me with a wealth of knowledge regarding issues and strategy.. I founded Teodorovic Law, P.C. in 2016 with the goal of assisting other attorneys in providing quality and effective representation in DUI, DMV, traffic, misdemeanor, and felony cases. I have since expanded my practice to include misdemeanor and felony appellate work.
I serve on the Executive Committee and Board of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association and I am Chair Emeritus of CTLA's Amicus Committee. I also volunteer for the Amicus Curiae Committee of the American Association for Justice. I recently served for 8 years on, and for 2 of those as Chair of, the Colorado Judicial Performance Commission for the Second Judicial District (in Denver). In the past, I have organized a team for the Colorado Autism Society’s Walk with Autism. In 2012, CTLA honored me with its New Trial Lawyer of the Year Award and I shared CTLA's 2016 Outstanding Service Award.. I love visiting and hiking in our National Parks with my family. My wife and I recently hiked Rim-to-Rim in the Grand Canyon and a few days later hiked Rim-to-River.
I serve as Managing Partner of Kilpatrick Townsend in China. My practice focuses on intellectual property litigation and counseling. I work with clients in such diverse fields as electronics, semiconductor manufacturing and development, software, telecommunications, transportation, entertainment, retail and consumer goods, and financial transactions. I have extensive experience in all aspects of federal district court litigation and International Trade Commission (ITC) investigations and trials.. As a registered patent attorney, I also specialize in post-grant proceedings before the United States Patent Office, having served as lead counsel in over 30 inter partes review (IPR) proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB).. I was one of only eight foreign lawyers in China named as a top litigator in 2018 by IAM Patent 1000 – The World's Leading Patent Practitioners. I was recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® for Patent Litigation in 2017 and 2018 and for both Patent Litigation and Intellectual Property Litigation in 2019 and 2020. I was named a 2018 "Top Litigator" by Law Week Colorado. I was recognized as a Colorado “Super Lawyer” for Intellectual Property Litigation in 2019, having been previously named a Colorado “Rising Star” six times by Super Lawyers magazine.. I also represent foreign parents, often on a pro bono basis, in international child abduction cases under the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction. I have served as lead counsel in multiple trials resulting in the successful return of illegally retained children to their home countries.. Before joining the firm, I completed a federal clerkship with the Honorable Robert C. Jones of the United States District Court for the District of Nevada.. Prior to joining the legal profession, I worked as a software engineer for one of the nation’s largest technology companies, developing cutting-edge design automation tools for VLSI microprocessor design. I also worked as a researcher for the National Institute of Science and Technology in Boulder, Colorado, conducting research into next-generation wireless standards and measurement techniques.
I represent injured clients who were hurt because of another’s negligence or intentional conduct. I have dedicated myself to understanding the unique needs of my clients following an injury including current and future medical and rehabilitation needs, financial needs resulting from work loss or diminished working capacity, and personal and emotional needs.. I understand that an injury affects not just you but your entire family, and I strive to tell your story and give you back your voice.
I represent individual clients and diverse businesses in a wide range of legal matters including general civil litigation, employment and labor law, real property transactions and related litigation, drafting contracts, commercial transactions and related litigation, and business formation and business law. I handle an active litigation caseload in Federal and State courts, including fact investigation, legal research, development of theory and strategy of case, writing legal documents and briefs, discovery, oral arguments, settlement conferences and hearings.
I really love my job. I am able to spend each day helping honest Coloradans gain freedom from crushing debt, and all the stress that comes with it, or guiding my clients through the maze of immigration laws and regulations to lawful immigration status or citizenship. It's a joy to find such meaning in your work.. As a practicing attorney since 2007, I've been fortunate to have helped my clients navigate through over 2,000 chapter 7 or 13 bankruptcies, and fought for settlements for many clients who were unlawfully harassed to pay a discharged debt after they filed for bankruptcy relief. I've also helped obtain employment- and family-based immigration and citizenship benefits for scores of clients. I'm also proud to have taught at legal education seminars on various issues, from chapter 13 practice, to immigration-related employer sanctions, to law firm management.. I’m not a Colorado native, but like they say I got here as fast as I could! I graduated from CU-Boulder with a Bachelor’s in Religious Studies and Anthropology, and received my J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center. After graduating law school, my family – Brooke, Soren and Amelia – and I moved back to the Denver area, where I practiced immigration law with Ann Allott and bankruptcy law with Sharon Grossenbach before opening my own firm.. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family (the 2- and 4-legged varieties), running, finding (and drinking) great Colorado beer, cheering on the Nuggets & Rockies, playing poker, and reading history and science books.
I provide legal advice and representation to entrepreneurs, employees, landlords, vendors, investors and financiers involved with or interested in the marijuana industries of Colorado and Florida.
I primarily represent people who are injured because of the negligence of others.. Most of our cases are for cleints who were hurt in as a result of another's careless while walking, riding a bicycle, riding a motorcycle or driving a car.. In addition, I ride bicycles and advocate for the interests of injured cyclists. Here are links for a website for bicycle lawyers that I am proud to be a part of.. and
