I am originally from North Dakota, and attended the University of North Dakota where I received my undergraduate degree.  Prior to law school, I worked as a small business consultant, retail manager, and high school teacher.  I attended the Sturm College of Law at the University of Denver.  In law school, I focused on labor and employment, earning the Workplace Law Certificate.

I am originally from Louisville, KY and attended the University of Kentucky for my undergraduate degree. I quickly changed my major from Music Performance to Marketing and prepared to use my experience and education to join the business of music. However, during my senior year a lawyer in Lexington suggested I consider becoming an attorney. I immediately registered for the LSAT and enrolled at the Thomas M. Cooley Law School (Western Michigan University).. Following law school, I began my career as an Assistant Jefferson County Prosecutor. From there, I briefly worked at a large personal injury firm until I opened my own firm. From 2011 to 2019, I handled cases ranging from criminal defense, personal injury, family law, and small claims disputes. In 2019 I moved to Colorado Springs and in 2021 I moved to the Centennial/Littleton area after meeting my wife. After working for another personal injury firm and a firm handling business litigation, I felt exceedingly unfulfilled. I missed the work I did as a criminal defense attorney.. I am a medical malpractice lawyer in Denver, Colorado who works exclusively with people who have been seriously injured as the result of a medical error. My unique and varied medical background gives my clients an important and uncommon advantage. Although my undergraduate degree is in Criminal Justice, I spent three years studying biology and chemistry, changing majors in my senior year. I also completed the rigorous didactic and clinical education program for New York State's highest level of prehospital care providers, becoming a paramedic in 1995.
