I am the founding Partner of Killmer Lane's Western Slope office based in Carbondale, CO. I've devoted my entire legal career to representing people whose rights have been violated. I have only represented people – and never corporations or other large entities – who have been subjected to abuses of power. I have extensive experience with issues ranging from police misconduct to prisoners' rights to disability rights to employment discrimination and retaliation, and more. I joined Killmer Lane as an Associate Attorney in 2013. Since then, I have been part of the winning trial team in several major employment and civil rights cases. This includes the Marvin Booker v. City and County of Denver case, which resulted in the largest civil rights jury verdict at the time in Colorado history. I became a Senior Associate Attorney in 2016 and a Partner in 2018.

I am originally from North Dakota, and attended the University of North Dakota where I received my undergraduate degree. Prior to law school, I worked as a small business consultant, retail manager, and high school teacher. I attended the Sturm College of Law at the University of Denver. In law school, I focused on labor and employment, earning the Workplace Law Certificate.
I am originally from Louisville, KY and attended the University of Kentucky for my undergraduate degree. I quickly changed my major from Music Performance to Marketing and prepared to use my experience and education to join the business of music. However, during my senior year a lawyer in Lexington suggested I consider becoming an attorney. I immediately registered for the LSAT and enrolled at the Thomas M. Cooley Law School (Western Michigan University).. Following law school, I began my career as an Assistant Jefferson County Prosecutor. From there, I briefly worked at a large personal injury firm until I opened my own firm. From 2011 to 2019, I handled cases ranging from criminal defense, personal injury, family law, and small claims disputes. In 2019 I moved to Colorado Springs and in 2021 I moved to the Centennial/Littleton area after meeting my wife. After working for another personal injury firm and a firm handling business litigation, I felt exceedingly unfulfilled. I missed the work I did as a criminal defense attorney.. Being charged with a criminal offense can be incredibly scary. I am aware that emotions run high because your liberties are at risk. I will listen to your concerns, keep you informed, and aim to take as much worry from your plate. I pride myself on being a proven negotiator and litigator.. Please reach out to me for a consultation. I look forward to helping you through the stressful process of the criminal justice system.
I am moved by innovation and technology and have been practicing corporate law primarily in those sectors. I am a firm believer that consulting an attorney should not be prohibitive, either from the perspective of cost or accessibility. I love working with companies in all stages of their life cycles and helping them succeed.
I am licensed in both Colorado and Florida. I have been fighting for people for 23 years. My practice includes criminal defense in both state and federal levels, family matters including divorce, legal separation, pre and post nuptial agreements, child custody, allocation of parental responsibilities, alimony, and post decree matters. My firm also handles personal injury matters related to car accidents, slip and fall matters, dog bites, and catastrophic injuries. Whether your case is in federal court, family court, juvenile court, traffic court, or anywhere in between, I will make sure you are treated fairly and represented zealously.
I am happy to announce I have been hired by Bodie Enger Law, where I specialize in insurance subrogation and commercial litigation matters.. Armed with a broad litigation background, I have obtained positive results in cases involving business disputes, probate administration, personal injury, professional malpractice, environmental law, administrative law, family law, and bankruptcy matters. I am also equipped to successfully represent clients in transactional matters including land use and real estate law, business law, trust and estate law, and special district law.. I obtained a J.D. and Certificate in Environmental and Natural Resources Law from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2011. I graduated cum laude from Wake Forest University in 2008 with a B.A. degree for a double major in political science and spanish.
I am Daniel Mossinghoff and I am proud to be the Criminal Defense Director for Baumgartner Law, LLC. I have been a criminal defense trial attorney for almost all of the years I have been practicing. I am dedicated to protecting the rights of anyone accused of a crime and vindicating those wrongfully charged.. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Regis University in 1996 and then graduated law school from the University of Colorado in 2000. As a fledging lawyer, I cut my teeth and learned trial work as a district attorney for four years. Fairly quickly, I realized I was not meant to work as a prosecutor and quit. I missed working with people and arguing to protect our Constitutional rights.. Since then, I have been a criminal defense attorney for the last 16 years. I have defended thousands of clients in the areas of DUI defense, juvenile law, domestic violence and major felony cases--including homicide. I have tried over 250 jury trials and countless motions hearings. I have also presented or been published over a half dozen times in multiple areas of criminal defense.. I also now represent citizens in Civil Rights cases with an emphasis on police misconduct and police brutality. This is a specialized area of law which many attorneys do not practice. Baumgartner Law specializes in this area. I find litigating Civil Rights matters is a natural evolution in my practice of criminal defense. Although this is a very challenging area of law, I also believe it has made me a much better attorney who can now focus on offering remedies to people who have suffered from police misconduct instead of only offering a defense.
I am an experienced litigator who has handled a numerous cases from inception through appeal. I spent a number of years trying cases and handling matters in the New York City Courts. I will cover matters from the Denver area through Summit County.. My hobbies include boxing, skiing, and other outdoor activities.
I am an Estate Planning Attorney fortunate enough to be the Wife and Mother of a busy and wonderful family.Like most parents, our goals are to protect and provide for our family. However, it is said that “a goal without a plan is just a wish” -Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. So let’s make a plan! I would be honored to get to know you and your wishes and commemorate them in a way that will protect the future of your loved ones.My husband and I moved to Colorado less than a month after I graduated from Chicago Kent College of Law to settle in with our soon-to-be family. I found work with the Colorado Department of Human Services and dedicated my time to public service for 6 years. While I loved my time at the State, I struggled to find a life-work balance and ultimately decided to take some time to be with my children and reevaluate my career. As my kids and I explored Colorado together, I met so many people, just like my husband and I, who had young families but had put off creating an estate plan. We were all so busy traveling, learning to ride bikes, and heading to the mountains for a weekend of hiking, camping and skiing! When did we have time? That is when it became clear to me that this was my new path. Not only do I want to protect my own family, but I want to help educate other families about how important this planning is! I opened Bastani Law Firm, LLC with this focus in mind and love learning the stories of individuals and families who seek to create plans that reflect their intentions and protect their loved ones. I truly look forward to helping you create a custom plan that will give you peace of mind as you take on life’s adventures with your family.
I am an Estate Planning Attorney & Mom of Three and I absolutely LOVE what I do. Helping families ensure that their loved ones are adequately protected is my passion, and I feel so lucky to be able to guide my clients through the process.. My hope is to build long-lasting relationships and friendships with my clients and to become a trusted advisor through the many changes life brings.. Originally from Houston, Texas, I graduated from Texas A&M University and moved to Colorado for law school just after graduation. I received my J.D. from The University of Denver College of Law in two and a half years and was admitted to the Colorado bar in May of 2004. In addition to being an attorney, I am also a licensed real estate broker and I love to dabble a bit in real estate in my spare time.. I am the proud mom of three incredibly hilarious, smart and loving girls. Becoming a mom in 2011 made me realize that I would do anything for that little person and that her needs now came before mine. This is the same philosophy behind having a well-organized estate plan in place – it is not about you, it is about your loved ones. They will be the ones to benefit from your estate plan. Getting your affairs in order is truly an un-selfish and proactive choice you can make on behalf of your family.. When I’m not helping families make choices for protecting their loved ones, I enjoy spending time outside with my family, running, yoga and a good craft beer. I look forward to helping you and your family and to becoming your lifetime trusted advisor.
