In 1969 I entered practice with Southeast Neighborhood Legal Services, which was a program that provided a full range of free legal representation to people who could not afford an attorney. During that time, I handled every type of problem that a person could have - from evictions to defending against debt collectors, to defending uninsured motorists who were being sued by insurance companies. The last one and a half years with this Organization I took over the Family Law area of the practice and handled 2500 divorces in Court. Most were uncontested. There were at least two contested matter per week during this time. In 1972 I opened my own practice and specialized in Divorce and Plaintiffs Personal Injury. I stopped taking contested divorces in 1987. From 1984 through 1990, in addition to Personal Injury and Family Law, I took two major litigation cases involving multiple Plaintiffs and Defendants. The first was defending a Property Management company that was an ancillary Defendant in a major Ponzie type scheme. The second case was Defending an owner of a Cemetary and Crematorium in a Class Action lawsuit involving the inappropriate disposition of Ashes. Both of these cases were settled. The main focus of my practice at the present time is Plaintiff's personal Injury and general litigation, with the occassional uncontested divorce.

I have a broad base of experience that allows me the ability to handle a multiplicity of matters in diverse areas, including, bankruptcy, civil litigation, real estate, entertainment, trademarks, copyright, and corporate law and family law. I started as a mergers and acquisitions attorney and worked in two prestigious New York law firms on sophisticated corporate matters. I was transferred to Japan in 1990 to staff the Tokyo office of Paul, Weiss, because I speak Japanese, at which point I got the entertainment bug from representing some Japanese artists as an avocation and my aspirations to be a stand up comedy in Japan since I am very funny in Japanese only. After working in Japan, I returned to the United States where I pursued my interests in music, starting a national booking agency and management company and ultimately partnering with David Braun, Esq., who was the former president of Polygram Records. At some point thereafter, I went out on my own and my clients were primarily recording artists who were disenfranchised with Death Row REcords. I developed a robust entertainment law practice, began suing record companies, and began handling the bankruptcies for my clients, which we used as strategic tools as well as for practical reasons. My artists and their referrals also enlisted my support in a number of lawsuits. When the real estate crisis hit in CA, I became a foreclosure law expert and routinely handle cases that are best characterized as both pre-foreclosure, post foreclosure and eviction matters. There isn't much I don't do, haven't done or can't handle. I am also special counsel to Bankruptcy Trustee, Alfred Siegel.
I handle business, employment, and real estate litigation cases for both plaintiffs and defendants.
