I have represented clients in court hearings, settlement negotiations, and jury trials. The advice I provide is based not only on what I have learned in the field, but on a thorough understanding of case law – it is my practice to read appellate decisions daily, and keep abreast of legal trends as they occur, because my work is my passion. Kristen is certified as a Family Law Specialist and is a partner on the litigation team at Jacobson Scully Shebby LLP. She handles complex cases involving custody, property division, support, and dissolution. What sets her litigation team apart from other Family Law firms? • They work smarter. Kristen’s team – staffed with Stanford and Loyola Law School graduates – crafts creative and proactive approaches to each case from the moment they are retained. They bring big firm standards that is generally lacking in the Family Law bar. They understand that the longer a case takes to resolve, the higher the emotional toll and financial cost. They therefore make it their mission to push cases forward in a cost-efficient and thoughtful manner. • They work harder. Where settlement is not possible, the team enjoys the courtroom and thrives in that atmosphere. In fact, because of their reputation for success in the courtroom, many referrals come from other family law attorneys, judges, and mediators. Those professionals trust Kristen and her team with the most important people in their lives – their friends, family members, and clients. Kristen takes that trust very seriously. • They care about their clients. The team provides clients with individualized attention. Toward that end, Kristen returns phone calls within 24 hours and is available to clients after hours and on Saturdays.
