J. Andrew Jolley has lived in and served the greater Prescott area as an attorney since 2007. After earning his law degree from the University of Idaho, Andy moved to Prescott and joined the Yavapai County Public Defender’s Office. Though he enjoyed protecting the rights of criminal defendants, Mr. Jolley accepted a position with a small firm in Prescott, where he found a particular passion for personal injury and civil litigation. Seeking to better serve the quad cities community, Andy founded Jolley Law, PLC, the predecessor company to Prescott Law Group, in 2010.. Mr. Jolley is approachable, hard-working and compassionate. Though he practices many types of law, he is especially proficient in the areas of Personal Injury Law and Criminal Defense due to his substantial experience in those fields. Andy especially enjoys his work with the small communities surrounding Prescott. He is the Town Prosecutor for Jerome and Tusayan, and serves as a Public Defender for several other communities. Andy has demonstrated an aptitude for seeing cases and issues from all angles. Having been raised in a very small rural community, this work reminds Andy of home, and is one of the many reasons he loves living and working in Prescott.. Andy actively participates in the community. He is a former president of the Yavapai County Bar Association as well as a board member of the Yavapai County Republican Party. In addition, Mr. Jolley is a graduate of the 2010 Arizona College of Trial Advocacy, a member of Prescott Area Leadership, and a current board member of Yavapai Little League Baseball.. When away from the office, Andy enjoys time with his lovely and supportive wife, their three beautiful children and the pets that seem to keep growing in number.
I love preparing wills and trusts to solve the practical problems that come when a person passes away. My wills and trusts are, as much as possible, in plain language that can be read by you and your personal representative or successor trustee. Most initial consultations for wills and trusts are at no charge. I can then quote you a flat fee after taking a look at what you have and talking with you about what you want.. I also handle contract matters, business law and probate matters. Our office is in Prescott, Arizona.. I grew up in southern Arizona near Nogales. I am a proud Sun Devil, a Wildcat, and most importantly, a husband to my sweetheart and a dad to our children. Until my kids leave for college, my family is my hobby. I love reading and hiking. I coached youth soccer teams for about eight years; I took a break in 2019..
I enjoy recreation and travel with my family, hikes in the forest, trail running with my dogs, watching football and basketball games, mountain biking, reading both fiction and non-fiction, and volunteering for some charitable organizations that I admire.. Our law firm enjoys helping people who need our help with injury and death claims and the many unexpected issues that arise. We enjoy developing strong and lasting relationships with our new clients. We take particular pride in using our expertise in connection with personal injury recovery liens (Medicare, AHCCCS/Medicaid, ERISA, Medical Provider, workers compensation and other rights of recovery and/or liens against the injured person's settlement, award or judgment) to obtain lawful discounts in the amount owed. We usually do not charge our clients anything additional for this lien reduction legal work.. We also enjoy getting good results for our clients in the few cases that cannot be resolved by settlement. For example, in October of 2010, we obtained a jury verdict for $655,000 for an elderly woman injured by a negligent driver while walking in a crosswalk. The other driver offered only $15,000 to settle. Her lawyer asked the jury at the end of the trial to award only $110,000 despite our client having over $200,000 in medical expenses.. In another case, we represented a 94 yr. old man with Alzheimer's disease who was swindled by his granddaughter and her husband out of his life savings. At trial, we proved that 11 bank accounts were used to create confusion as to where the money went, but we proved to the jury that over $400,000 was taken. The jury verdict included our legal fees, taking the total to $560,000.

David K. Wilhelmsen is one of the managing partners at Favour & Wilhelmsen PLLC. He joined the firm in 1981 where he has practiced continuously thereafter. His practice ranges over a broad spectrum of civil practice areas. And although his primary focus is providing legal services in Yavapai County he provides services for clients located throughout the United States and abroad.. Mr. Wilhelmsen is certified by the State Bar of Arizona in real estate law, however, that is but one of many areas in which he offers services. Approximately one-half his practice involves civil litigation, trials and appeals. The remaining half involves real estate transactions, probates, trusts and estates, and creating business entities such as corporations, limited liability companies, and partnerships.. The civil litigation component of Mr. Wilhelmsen’s practice is premised upon carefully analyzing the merits of his clients’ claims or defenses early on so that a focused strategy can be developed to achieve a positive result. His litigation practice spans over most all areas of law. And he will only advance a case he genuinely believes is well supported by law. When he makes the decision to undertake a case he will aggressively pursue his clients’ goals. His practice includes preparing and presenting cases at the trial level and representing clients on appeal. Of course, if during any stage of a legal proceeding an opportunity for a reasonable settlement appears he will orchestrate a result to the complete satisfaction of his clients. The primary goal is to accomplish the clients’ desired result; however, equally important is the clients’ being fully informed about their case and having confidence their best interests are being served. He appears in both state and federal trial and appeal courts.. The business and transactional components of Mr. Wilhelmsen’s practice involves counseling and advising a broad spectrum of business men and women from the purchase or formation of their businesses, though their operation and eventual sale or winding up. From large corporations to small family business, a full range of services is provided in a timely and competent fashion.. His real estate practice involves both litigation and transactions where he provides a full range of services in sale and lease transactions in both the commercial and residential represents owners, lenders, borrowers, developers, and real estate professionals in assisting with all their real estate needs. His practice areas include ownership disputes, title disputes, boundary disputes, foreclosures, construction disputes, partition actions and easements.. Mr. Wilhelmsen’s practice also emphasizes probates and wills, and trusts and estates, having practiced in these areas for most his career. This includes building an estate plan from inception to meet the goals of the client. Simplicity and cost efficiency are the primary objectives in selecting between the range of estate planning vehicles available to his clients. And should death occur he stands ready to implement his clients’ wishes through a probate proceeding or trust administration while remaining sensitive to his clients’ desires and the family’s grief.. He is a member of the State Bar of Arizona and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court of Arizona. He received a B.A. from University of Arizona in 1978 and his J.D. from Arizona State University in 1981.
