Martin has been a lecturer and moderator for the State Bar of Arizona’s continuing education programs and a frequent panelist at professional conferences on securities, commercial real estate, and intellectual property law. He has also published numerous articles and seminar materials in the areas of securities law, commercial real estate litigation, arbitration, and mediation.. Appointed by the Governor of Arizona, Martin served on the Governor’s Task Force on Urban Air Quality. Appointed by the Mayor of Phoenix, Martin served on the City of Phoenix Environmental Quality Commission. For several years, Martin also chaired the Arizona State Air Pollution Control Hearing Board. He has served as an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association (AAA), National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD), and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).. Martin graduated from Northwestern University in 1968. He earned his law degree cum laude from Northwestern University Law School in 1971, where he was an Editor of the Northwestern University Law Review, a Clarion DeWitt Hardy Scholar, a Francis S. Kosmerl Foundation Scholar, and a recipient of the first 'Student Who Contributed the Most to the Intellectual Life of Northwestern University' award..
