Active family man.  Two kids, many sports hobbies.  I strive to ensure that my clients will be there for their families as well.  I understand how important that goal is.. Mr. Kidd began his legal career in 1993 working as Deputy City Attorney for the City of San Diego. While working for the city, Mr. Kidd prosecuted hundreds of criminal matters, including more than one hundred jury and bench trials. He also, defended the city in major civil litigation. Attorney A.J. Amissah, graduated cum laude from Benedict College in 2013. After graduating from Benedict College, he attended Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. After a year at Southern University, he transferred back home to the University of the District of Columbia School of law. While attending UDCSL, he participated in the Legislative clinic and Special education clinic.. Mr. Amissah graduated cum laude from UDCSL in 2016. After graduating from UDCSL, he worked for the Children's Law Center in D.C. as a Guardian Ad Litem and a Special Education attorney. While at the Children's Law Center, he represented a number of underserved children and parents in disciplinary hearings, IEP meetings, abuse and neglect hearings, and juvenile hearings/mental health proceedings. She has an intimate and extensive knowledge of criminal law and the procedures that prosecutors and law enforcement officers use to try to convict people of criminal charges. I am proud to be a native Arkansan and lover of the Ozarks. I grew up in Morning Star, Arkansas, near the Buffalo National River, but have made Northwest Arkansas my home since attending college at the University of Arkansas. I graduated with an honors degree in English from the U of A in 2002, and completed law school at the University of Arkansas in 2005.    After law school, I worked for a brief time at Blanchard Springs Caverns as a tour guide before joining a local criminal defense firm. My practice focused mainly on criminal defense, appellate cases, and civil rights. While at the firm, I also contributed to a legal handbook and accompanied my employer on speaking engagements on both the east and west coasts. During this time, I was elected, and still serve, on the board of the Arkansas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. I also currently serve as president of the Buffalo River Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to conserving the Buffalo National River, and on the Committee of 100, a group dedicated to supporting the Ozark Folk Center in Mountain View, Arkansas. Both of these boards support causes near and dear to my heart, and on the weekends you will often find my daughter and me on the river or listening to folk/bluegrass music. I consider it a privilege to help clients through difficult legal times, and understand the toll a change in familial circumstances can take on an individual.
