My practice focuses exclusively on Family Law in Oakland, Wayne, Macomb, and Genesee Counties.  I represent clients in all aspects of Family Law and work with each client in a personal and honest manner.  I provide professional representation and work hard to assist clients in achieving their desired goals, balanced with a realistic expectation based upon the unique circumstances of their particular case.

I am the founder of the Jacovino Law Office. Jacovino Law Office is located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Our clients and their legal issues are given individual, personal attention. Mediation and Litigation experienced so our clients receive both collaborative focused attention and also adversarial and strategic trial preparation if a resolution can not be reached. I attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree with honors in Psychology. I graduated with a Juris Doctorate from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2009. Through my legal education and career, I have participated in many community based legal programs including internships with the Family Court and Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada, and community outreach and education programs through Boyd. I participate in Legal Aid’s Ask an Attorney sessions and judged numerous mock trials, oral arguments, and client counseling competitions.  I look forward to meeting new clients and helping them understand their rights, prepare for court, and reach a beneficial outcome.

A lifelong Nevadan, Chuck grew up in Las Vegas in the 1960s, 70s and 80s.  Chuck earned his Bachelor’s Degree, with High Distinction from UNLV in 1989.  Chuck then attended the University of Utah College of Law, receiving his J.D. in 1992.  Following a one-year clerkship at the Nevada Supreme Court, Chuck began practicing in Minden, Nevada, in 1993.  He became an associate with Brooke and Shaw, LTD, and later a partner of Brooke Shaw Zumpft.  Mr. Shaw retired; Mr. Brooke passed away, so Chuck formed Minden Lawyers, LLC.. Chuck’s primary areas of practice include family law, probate and estate planning, and criminal defense.  Chuck is and has been Yerington City attorney since 2000; and is General Counsel for Kingsbury General Improvement District and Indian Hills General Improvement District, both of which are in Douglas County.  Chuck is General Counsel for the Gardnerville Water Company, as well as Silver Springs Mutual Water Company.  Chuck is also counsel for the Tahoe Village Homeowners Association.. Chuck regularly provides pro bono legal services through Volunteer Attorneys for Rural Nevada (“VARN”).  VARN awarded Chuck with its “Lawyer in the Lobby of the Year” award in 2014.. Minden Lawyers presently has three attorneys serving its clients.  Chris Nichols is Of Counsel, but still actively provides advice and representation in bankruptcy, business planning and real estate matters.  Kelli Gallimore is focusing her practice on criminal defense, family law, and estate planning.  Minden Lawyers is blessed with an exceptionally capable staff, Tammy, Pam and Heidi.. Chuck lives with his wife, Pat, of 33 years, and their newly adopted 6-year old son.  Chuck and Pat raised two boys of their own, Chase and Corbin, and have fostered approximately fifty children over the last eight years.  Chuck enjoys motorcycling, camping, exploring the area via side-by-side, woodworking and beekeeping.

Chad M. Buckingham is a co-founder and partner at Regent Law.  Mr. Buckingham practices exclusively in the areas of Family Law and Civil Litigation, primarily on all matters relating to separation and divorce, including child custody, child support, alimony, and equitable distribution, as well as commercial litigation, business litigation and contract disputes.. Outside of the office, Chad enjoys playing basketball, golfing, and spending time with his wife, Kaylan, his son, Arlo, and his Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Morty and Millie.

Hurman Sims received his B.A. and J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin in 1966 and 1969.  He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1969 to 1989 and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel while serving as a general court-martial judge at Camp Lejeune, N.C.  His military awards include the Meritorious Service Medal.  He was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1968 and the North Carolina Bar in 1988 and has been in private practice in Jacksonville, North Carolina since 1989.  He is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association with section memberships in Family Law, Criminal Law, and Bankruptcy.  He is a member of the Onslow County Bar Association and served as President in 2010.  He has been peer rated since 2012 and has received the highest possible rating in legal ability and ethical standards.  He is also a family financial mediator certified by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission.  The law office is a federally defined debt relief agency helping people file for bankruptcy relief.

J. Patrick Williams,  J.D. is one of the founding partners of Batch & Williams, PC. His practice is focused in Family law, divorce, domestic violence and related claims.  Patrick has over 17 years experience litigating family law matters ranging from simple custody cases to high asset and high conflict equitable distribution matters.  He also is active in the legal community and is a member of the North Carolina Bar Grievance Committee, which investigates disputes between clients and attorneys, as well as a member of State Bar Ethics Committee.. For many years, I worked in the area of finance and computers (for small companies and non-profit organizations) while I worked towards obtaining my BS degree in Criminal Justice, with my ultimate goal to attend law school. In 2000 I started attending law school full time, attending classes at night and on weekends, all the while continuing to work full time to support my family. I graduated in 2003 and was admitted to practice law in Massachusetts in 2003. I was admitted to practice law in New Hampshire in 2004 and later that same year in Connecticut and Maine. Although I don't practice in Maine and Connecticut today, I continue to keep licenses active. I was a Guardian ad Litem appointed by the NH Courts in more than 150 cases involving parental rights and responsibilities, guardianships, termination of parental rights and relocation. Today, my practice includes a variety of areas of practice but is primarily focused on family issues, including divorce, parental rights and responsibilities, domestic violence issues, termination of parental rights, step-parent adoptions, wills, guardianships, deeds, prenuptial agreements, real property partitions, and other issues related to families.. I work closely with my clients to provide them with the best representation possible and to guide them through what is often a highly emotional process by providing reasonable expectations and guidance so that my clients can make informed decisions for not only their best interests, but also the best interest of their children and other family members.

Andrea Erwin Potter was born in New Orleans and spent most of her early childhood in Metairie, Louisiana.  At the age of 10 she moved about 60 miles west of New Orleans to a small town on the bayou, Thibodaux.  She graduated from Thibodaux High in 1998.  Missing the vibe of the city, she returned to New Orleans and received her B.A. in Public Relations from Tulane University in 2006, the first semester after Hurricane Katrina. Then she went on to receive her J.D. degree from Loyola University College of Law, graduating with a 3.369.. While attending Loyola, Mrs. Potter served on the Journal of Public Interest, Loyola’s Trial Advocacy Organization and represented clients under Professor Cheryl Buchert in the Stuart H. Smith Law Clinic and Center for Social Justice.  She was selected as a teaching assistant by Dr. JoAnne Sweeny for Legal Research and Writing.  She was honored by the American Bar Association as a third-place winner of the Schwab Memorial Essay hosted by the Family Law Section.  Her article, Sexting and Louisiana’s Punishment for the Children the Law Intends to Protect from Prosecution Under Child Pornography Statutes, was published in the American Bar Association Family Law Quarterly, Vol. 45, No. 3.  Moreover, her article, Juvenile Justice, was also published in the American Bar Association Student Lawyer Magazine in February of 2013.  She was awarded the Best Direct Examination by the Trial Advocacy Board of 2011.. Andrea’s emphasis in her law practice stems from her own childhood as a product of divorce.  As she grew up her curiosity was piqued as to why she could not live with her father all the time.  So, while attending law school she decided her focus would be family law and child advocacy.  In 2010, Andrea worked for the Honorable Mary Devereux at the 22nd Judicial District Court where she learned divorce methods, community property settlements, co-parenting guidelines including visitation, custody and support, and prenuptial agreements.  In 2011, Andrea clerked for the Honorable Nancy Amato Konrad at Jefferson Parish Juvenile Court where she learned the importance of rehabilitation of minors in order to provide them with a chance to become productive members of society.  Furthermore, she gained advocacy experience in juvenile criminal defense.  Upon entering the legal industry Mrs. Potter joined a New Orleans Firm, Venezia & Associates in 2013.  Then she and her husband decided to move to Mandeville, and she opened a family law practice.

I have been practicing law in the Champaign-Urbana area for more than 20 years.  My experience with the local courts, judges, attorneys, institutions and agencies, has given me a well-rounded understanding of optimal approaches to litigating cases, negotiating settlements, and advising clients about other resources available in the community..
