My legal practice is open to all clients.  In general practice I focus on personal injury, family law, immigration and appeals, transactional work, and  criminal defense.  I also represent clients in mediation and arbitration.. My practice is fluid and I like to maximize my client's results.  I prefer a legally colaborative approach to problem solving.  This has proven beneficial to both clients and their overall sense of satisfiction with my legal services.  I welcome new clients from all walks of life.. I have participated, together with other members of the Washington State Bar Association, as well as students from the University of Washington School of Law, a Section of the Bar Association dedicated to the Slavic legal practitioners and people and  communities they serve.. I serve on the local non-profit organization Board of Directors; I spend countless hours of pro bono service advancing the goals of that organization.

I was born in the Philippines and came to the United States when I was twelve years old. I have always wanted to serve as a role model for other immigrant women and minorities and open as many doors for others as were opened for me.. I attended the University of Washington School of Law in 1998, graduating in 2001. At the UW I was active with the Student Bar Association. I also interned with the King County Prosecutor’s Office at the Maleng Justice Center and with the Pierce County Prosecutor’s Office through graduation. At Pierce County, I had the opportunity to argue criminal appellate cases before Division Two of the Washington State Court of Appeals, and to be first chair in misdemeanor trials during the summer. After graduation I moved to Honolulu, Hawaii, where I clerked with the Honorable John S.W. Lim of the Hawaii State Intermediate Court of Appeals. Then I joined the City and County of Honolulu Prosecutor’s Office as a deputy prosecuting attorney and practiced criminal law, including an assignment in the Career Criminal Unit where I prosecuted sex crimes, some cases involving child victims.. I moved back to Seattle and started practicing family law in 2006 with a veteran family law attorney. I became the senior associate and handled almost everything for the solo practitioner with whom I practiced. I came to work for the DuBois Cary Law Group in 2012. In support of our external and internal clients, I have taken on the hybrid role of Associate Attorney and Business Manager.. My husband and I are big football fans and support the Huskies and the Seahawks. We have two adorable cats, George and JoJo. We love to travel and explore new places. During my spare time I enjoy taking pictures, creating photobooks, and spending time with friends. On occasion, I get involved in artistic projects for friends and family. We support a number of charities including the American Cancer Society and the ALS Foundation.

Born in Texas, Sarah and her family moved to Washington when she was 7 years old to be closer to their family. Growing up in Woodinville, she attended Woodinville High School where she met her high school sweetheart, Josh. They graduated high school and attended the University of Washington together. After three short years, both headed straight to Seattle University School of Law.. Throughout law school, Sarah worked at the King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office in the Sexually Violent Predators unit and Special Assault unit. She also worked as a Rule 9 intern in the Juvenile Division for a summer and tried a number of cases on behalf of the County. While juggling work and school, Sarah participated in various activities at law school including:. Graduate Student Representative of the Student Bar AssociationPresident of the Health Law SocietyCo-founder of the Health Law Society Mentor-Mentee Program, andMember of the Seattle University Graduate Student Finance Committee.With her law degree, Sarah joins her husband, Josh, and colleagues at MAGNUSON LOWELL, P.S., focusing on family law and criminal defense. While at home, she enjoys spending time with her husband and playing with their young German shepherd and their two loving cats.

I attended Western Illinois University, graduating in 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration. I then went on to graduate from Northern Illinois University College of Law in 2018. In addition to my Juris Doctor Degree, I completed a Certificate in Criminal Law while at Northern Illinois University. Throughout law school, I interned at the Grundy County State’s Attorney Office where I obtained valuable courtroom experience working on various criminal cases and assisted in the running of various court calls. While in law school, I was also the Head Student Representative for both Lexis Nexis and Kaplan Bar Review.. I joined Meents Law on July 30, 2018. After passing the bar and being licensed to practice law in Illinois on November 8, 2018, I have primarily focused my practice on Family Law, Estate Planning, and Criminal Law.  I have also handled Eviction cases and other Small Claims actions.
