After I graduated from Vanderbilt Law School, I chose to practice family law due to my genuine concern for those needing representation during what can often be the most stressful and emotional periods of their lives. I now focus my practice on a range of family law matters including: child support, custody, grandparent visitation, alimony, guardianships, adoption, divorce, and father's rights. My undergraduate degree in Psychology, past work in a domestic violence legal clinic, and my internship for the Sex Crimes and Child Abuse division of the Indianapolis Prosecutor's Office have given me a unique insight into some of the more delicate issues related to family law. Because of this background I strive to be a zealous advocate for my clients while also taking the time to listen to their individual needs.
I graduated from law school in 2008 and began my legal career at a large law firm, handling complex commercial civil litigation. After seven years at the firm, I decided that I wanted to take my career (and my life) in a very different direction and, so, I accepted a position as a judicial law clerk to a federal district court judge. It was a true honor to work behind the scenes in federal court and really rounded out my knowledge of the legal system. After my two-year term as a law clerk came to an end, I was presented with the opportunity to a domestic law and civil rights firm here in Nashville. Then, in the summer of 2019, I launched my own law practice, Morris Family Law, PLLC, and I look forward to serving clients and being a member of the Nashville legal community for many years to come.. Throughout my legal career, I have had the privilege of working on many high-profile matters, often with large monetary judgments at stake. Nothing is more rewarding, however, than working on the highest-stakes matters there are - your family law matters. As someone who has been through the family court not only as an attorney but also as a party, I understand firsthand how difficult it can be to fight for yourself when your whole world is coming undone. I want to use not only my legal expertise but also my life experience to fight for you. Whether you are facing a divorce action, child custody dispute, domestic violence situation, or even the more routine task of drafting an estate plan or prenuptial agreement, I recognize that you need not only legal representation but also someone who will be by your side every step of the way to guide you through the process and be your voice.. I hope you will consider calling me for your legal needs.

For as long as I can remember, I always wanted to be an attorney. When I got to college I changed my path to law enforcement even though I still wanted to be a lawyer. Now, I have been in law enforcement for 25 years. During my time as an officer, I was injured while attempting to arrest several felony suspects. While injured, I believed that I should pursue my passion for law. I went to law school, made excellent grades that got me scholarships to pursue my passion. I graduated, passed the bar and went to work with a law school friend. It's been the best decision in my life.. I had a great practice in Alexandria, Calhoun County, Alabama, with Millwood Law Firm before leaving to work full-time with the State of Alabama as an attorney. Now, I'm opening my office with the same goal of making a difference. Through law I have been able to help parents gain custody of their children, protected innocent people from bad situations, obtained divorces for people who never should have married in the first place and assisted persons in gaining order in their lives through the Courts. I love my job!. If you need assistance in Divorce, Civil problems, Family law, Bankruptcy, Wills, Trusts, Estates, Criminal Law or simple Property matters then our firm is for you. Facing a legal issue can be a trying and scary time. Our legal system is confusing and, at times, unjust. My goal is to make the legal system more accessible by helping clients understand their rights. Each client has a unique situation that deserves individualized and personal attention. My clients are always my number one priority. I listen to each client to determine his or her individual needs and expectations. I promptly return phone calls and emails. I vigorously and effectively advocate for each of my client’s rights. We all have a voice, and I ensure that my clients’ voices are heard.. I focus the majority of my practice on issues involving the family: adoption, divorce, custody, child support, maintenance, and surrogacy contracts. I am routinely appointed by local judges as a guardian ad litem in cases where custody and placement are at issue. I take a holistic and compassionate approach to family law. I encourage mediation, settlement meetings and conferences when appropriate. However, I also understand that some issues are better left for a judge to decide.. I was born and raised in northeast Wisconsin. I graduated from Lawrence University in 2007 with degrees in government and Spanish. I played college basketball and break out my skills every year at our alumni game. I obtained my law degree from William Mitchell College of Law in 2011.. I currently live in Wisconsin Rapids with my husband Jamin and our 3 rescues. We spend our weekends attempting home renovation projects on our 1917 bungalow. When I’m not chasing my animals or pretending to be the next HGTV star, I serve as a health and fitness coach for women and a youth basketball coach. I also dabble in gluten free and paleo cooking and food photography.
