I grew up in the small town of Conway, Washington creating strong bonds with the area and people.  After receiving my transfer degree from Skagit Valley College, I attended Western Washington University and double majored in Political Science and Psychology.  It has been my longstanding view that a lot of the people that should become lawyers tend to shy away from the field. Coming from a less traditional background as a Commercial Fisherman, I decided to pursue law as a profession and attended Pace Law School in White Plains, New York. It has always been my goal to represent common people, rather than large corporations.  In addition, I prefer being a solo attorney where I can directly interact with my clients, and you can be assured your case will not get passed to someone less qualified.

I own and operate my own law firm and real estate brokerage firm right here in Emerald City, WA. I am licensed to practice in all state courts in KS, MO & WA, and federal courts in The United States District Courts- Western District and 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.. This love stemmed from my years of experience as a former Police Officer in Missouri.. Kennewick based but Seattle native, John grew up near Lake Washington. As a young man, his passion and skill for rowing landed him at the University of California at Berkeley, where he studied Natural Resources. After graduating with his Bachelor of Science degree, John worked as a field biologist and eventually found himself in Portland, where he studied law at Lewis and Clark College.. After law school, John and his wife made an intentional decision to seek a safe community with a proximity to the outdoors that they both treasured. The Tri-Cities area had both of these traits and more.. This decision led him to his work with the highly regarded Kennewick law firm Hames, Anderson, Whitlow, & O’Leary, which he joined in 2002. While at HAWO law, John practiced general civil litigation, bankruptcy, construction law, real estate law, and business law.. John C. Dippold, a principal, joined the firm in
1996. He serves on Carney's Board of Directors and is Co-Chair of the firm's
Construction Department. John's practice principally involves construction
litigation, commercial litigation, construction
law, development, commercial and residential real
estate, and federal/state government contracts in Washington, Oregon, Alaska
and Hawaii. John Dippold served as a Commissioner for the Issaquah Highlands
Development Commission from 1999-2003 and as Vice-Chairman of the Commission in
2004.. Mr. Dippold's experience expands a broad range of construction and
development issues. His primary clients include owners, developers, general
contractors, subcontractors and suppliers. He has in-depth knowledge of the
construction and real estate industries and this allows him to work closely with
his clients in drafting and negotiating construction contracts. Mr. Dippold has

Scott graduated from Stephen F. Austin state university in 2000, with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration.. Thereafter, Scott attended Texas Tech University School of Law, graduating in 2004. While at Texas Tech, Scott served as editor-in-chief of the Texas Tech Administrative Law Journal. Realizing his long-time dream to live in the pacific northwest, Scott was admitted to practice in Washington in 2017. Scott joined Ryan Montgomery & Armstrong in September 2017..
