Location: Florida Hey everyone, looking for some advice on how to handle a medical bill from a workplace incident. I work in retail and cut myself pretty badly during my unpaid lunch break while in the break room. I was using my own personal knife (not standard equipment) and was doing something pretty careless with it. I think I will have to end up seeking medical attention. Since I was off the clock and using my own item, but it happened directly in the break room on company property, I’m not really sure how this is supposed to be handled.
