Location: California I quit my job last month and texted my boss that i would like my detailed time in time out sheets and that she’s legally required to keep record and give them to me upon request in the state of california. She went to the police to say i was harassing her and they told me not to contact her anymore. My question is how should i go about getting those time sheets ? the 21 days passed and i never received them. If i wanted to pay a lawyer just to tell her to give them to me or else it will go further who should i call? the lawyers i have contacted have said its not worth it so im not sure who to go to. I also know for a fact she doesn’t keep the records at all and i want the records for overtime she never paid me

After a case is closed, the defendant takes the plea deal, and is sentenced. What happens with the prosecutor? (I obviously know they move onto active cases) but theres a no contact order , fully on the defendant, im the protected party. Will the prosecutor pull records at anytime? Or since the case is closed she wont? I understand that when I request to modify for a peaceful contact, that she would pull records, if I dont request to modify, what will happen? He is being released on hold in December, then being transferred to santa clara for another case, he missed court date this year. I read that since it’s unrelated to this, that when he is in transit, or when they get him ready to be transferred, that they won’t check any logs. Location: california

Location: California I was emotionally and physically abused by my parents for years as a child but am now an adult. I was aware I was being abused but did not want authorities involved, so understood that telling other adults would trigger mandated reporting obligations. As for why I didn't want authorities involved, I knew there was not adequate evidence for any kind of successful legal prosecution, and so an unsuccessful investigation would worsen the abuse (and maintaining access to my family's financial resources was important). My question is, can I start telling people who are mandated reporters about the abuse I experienced now that I am an adult, or would they still have to report it because it was child abuse, even if I am not a child anymore? I have a younger sibling that is still a minor, but he was never mistreated, so I don't know if that affects the outcome. Does their relationship to me have any impact on the answer? I have a high school teacher I remain in contact with after graduation who helped me get through that time period, even though I never told her details of my home life, and I would like her to know just how important her helping me was. Grandparent unknowingly signed over house to daughter | Jul 27, 2026 | Sourced from Reddit
Location: California Grandma (88) signed over the deed to her daughter and doesn’t remember it happening. Her daughter had a notary come to grandmas house and sign over deed while all other family members were gone on vacation. Grandma is of sound mind but has a history of strokes and needs things throughly explained to her. I don’t believe grandma truly knew / understood what she was signing. I asked her how / why the house is now in my aunts name and grandma said she doesn’t know. 2 weeks before the deed was signed over aunt had 3 major brain surgeries and wasn’t in a good state of mind. My aunt is friends with a notary and that is who I believe notarized the transfer knowing grandma didn’t fully understand what was going on. This was kept a secret from my dad and uncle so that’s another reason why I believe they lied to my grandma about what she was signing. I don’t believe anything should have been notarized knowing my aunts state of mind right after major surgery. I now have multiple family members questioning the deed transfer. Is there anything we can do at this point? Grandma insists she doesn’t know how anything was changed.
