I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience from UCLA in 1998, before briefly entering medical school at Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary. In 2001, I changed direction and made a decision to begin a career in Workers’ Compensation, first as an Administrator of medical-legal affairs for a well-known medical provider, and, after receiving my JD from Southwestern University School of Law in 2009, as an attorney.. Mr. Goodchild was admitted to the California State Bar, in 1975, the U.S. Central District Court of California, in 1976, and the U.S. Supreme Court, in 1981. In that same year, Jack Goodchild became a partner in the law firm Rand and Goodchild, PLC, and he was certified as a Workers’ Compensation Specialist. In 1989, Mr. Goodchild founded his own law firm, which is today known as the Law Offices of Goodchild and Duffy, PLC. In addition to his role as an attorney, Jack Goodchild has worked since 1984 as a Judge Pro Tem for the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board. He has also served as an advisor to the California Legislature..
