I got rear ended yesterday I didn’t have any pain or anything at the time. I woke up in a lot of pain this morning after I’ve already started a claim with their insurance yesterday after the accident, I want to go to the doctor to get checked out we have personal injury protection, so do I use that and just add whatever I get from the doctor onto the claim? location: florida so a year or two ago i got rear ended at a stop light and the damage was pretty bad. i got the dudes insurance info. a cop showed up, gave the guy a ticket, i got the police report stating he was at fault and that was that. my car got towed to a collision place and the price of the damages on the police report FAR exceeded what my car was worth at the time. my car was worth around $5000. and the damages was $8000+. so i had family members telling me to get a lawyer and sue the guy who had hit me, saying “you’re going to get back like $70,000. this will help all of us!!”. that rubbed me the wrong way but i got a lawyer regardless. i went to physical therapy and got my PIP money which was around $5000. after that i found out that the reason they couldn’t sue the guy or his insurance was because his insurance had some kind of loophole that said their client is not at fault unless a cop PHYSICALLY WITNESSED THE ACCIDENT and was there. i can list the name of the insurance company, the reviews all technically had the same issue i did. so i was going to call the whole situation a total loss simply and get another cheap vehicle because fixing my car would’ve made no sense. then i was informed that my family members went ahead and decided to…

Location: South Florida I was in an automotive accident last Wednesday evening, the other vehicle in the accident left the scene after exchanging phone numbers and before cops arrived, my car was in worse condition and i couldn't leave and i got it towed without a police report, i filed the accident through my insurance and i got the other parties insurance as well as their drivers license and included it into my claim. Today i got an email that states the other party is filing a bodily injury claim. Whats my best course of action from this point on?

I was in an accident where a motorcycle rear ended my truck on the highway. I didn’t hear or feel anything from it somehow so I didn’t stop. I then pulled into a gas station about 15-20 mins later and when I walked back out I noticed the damage to the truck. So I went inside and tried to get camera footage from the station, and when I did that they informed me the offices were locked. So I called the cops to atleast report that someone hit my truck. When they arrived they told me they had a vehicle that matched my trucks description that hit a motorcycle crashed into. I was then questioned about it and they even ran me through fields which i passed.
