Jonathan Freidin is the Managing Partner at Freidin Brown, P.A. Since joining the firm in 2014, he has handled some of the firm’s most serious personal injury cases and represented clients in several jury trials involving catastrophic injuries. Middlebrooks in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. While clerking, Jonathan worked on various types of federal matters from start to finish, including actions for patent infringement, tort liability, employment discrimination, civil rights violations, and fraud. He also assisted with several cases on the appellate level when Judge Middlebrooks sat by designation on the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.. Being born and raised in Miami, Florida, Jonathan’s love for South Florida has steered him toward several leadership positions in the community. Since January 2018, Jonathan has served on the Board of Directors of SAVE, South Florida’s leading organization dedicated to protecting the rights of the LGBTQ community. He also serves on SAVE’s Endorsement Committee, which interviews and endorses political and judicial candidates running for office in South Florida. In 2022, Jonathan was appointed to a two-year term on the Miami Beach Planning Board, one of the most important community boards in the City of Miami Beach. In January 2024, Jonathan was re-appointed by the Miami Beach City Commission to a second term on the Planning Board. Jonathan also serves on the Board of Directors of the Florida Justice Association, the largest organization dedicated to protecting Florida’s civil justice system and protecting the rights of Florida’s consumers and citizens. Mr. Leesfield has twice been awarded the prestigious Wiedman Wysocki medal for outstanding advocacy.  He is a Life Member of the Fellows of the American Bar Foundation.   Mr. Leesfield was the keynote speaker at the Florida Supreme Court Justices Teaching Institute  in Tallahassee, Florida where top educators from around the State of Florida convene annually for an intensive study of the judicial system.  Recipient of the 2003 Crystal Eagle Award of the Florida Justice Association, in recognition for his exceptional generosity on behalf of Florida's families.
