Angela Henderson received her undergraduate and Juris Doctorate from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. She was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1997. During law school she participated in the mediation clinic at DePaul after taking two semesters of mediation training. She also practiced as a family lawyer during law school through Chicago Volunteer Legal Services under a 711 license. Angela began her career as a family attorney with offices in Hinsdale and Lemont. I am a life-long Will County resident, married, the father of two and the son of two lawyers both of whom I have practiced law. Drawing on their experiences and my 26 years of practicing law, I can often bring a perspective to cases that many attorneys do not. Basically, I think of myself as an "old school" attorney - one more interested in fighting the cases that have serious issues in them and working hard to settle the cases where either there are slim chances of success or the cost of prevailing doesn't justify full-blown litigation.. Abraham Lincoln understood that compromise is necessary in certain circumstances.  "Persuade your neighbors to compromise whenever you can," he wrote in a lecture for lawyers.  "Point out to them how the nominal winner is often a real loser--in fees, and expenses, and waste of time.". I love that quote because the real job of any professional is to tell you the truth and assess your situation - not simply tell you what you want to hear.  I often advise clients that "lawyers make more money when clients fight" and we make much less when they settle. A good lawyer will help you tell the difference so that your best interests are served - not theirs. Divorces in particular are prone to emotional decisions. These emotions can cloud judgment and prevent settlement. Of course there will always be cases that need to be litigated aggressively. I am prepared for difficult cases and fight hard for my client's rights in those instances.. I am also invested in my community serving as the past President of Troy Consolidated School District School Board and past board member for the Guardian Angel Community Services of Will County and I actively volunteer my time with the Will County Legal Assistance Program and Pro Bono Program and have served on the Illinois Supreme Court's Committee on Access to Justice helping draft state-wide forms for all of Illinois.

Contact Whitney Cameron at.. Whitney Cameron was the first of her family to go to college and she got her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Economics at Augustana College. She received her Juris Doctorate from The John Marshall Law School in 2017, with honors. Whitney was an editor for The John Marshall Law Review and a member of the The John Marshall Moot Court Honors Program. While studying for her legal degree Whitney devoted over eight credit hours to pro bono and volunteer work.  She spent an entire summer in 2016 at the Will County Court House in the Externship Program where she mentored under several judges and wrote memorandums of law to assist in the final adjudication. It was during this externship that she discovered her passion for Family Law.. At the end of 2016, Whitney joined Henderson & Mehta Law & Mediation Center. She started as a secretary and legal assistant and continued to work as such until she passed the bar and was sworn in as an attorney in November 2017..
