I believe that we can help clients get through difficult situations by communicating with them frequently, and always focusing on resolving matters informally before resorting to litigation. However, when litigation becomes necessary, moving in that direction with a client who is involved and knowledgeable is always my goal.. Karl was born and raised in Lake County, Indiana.  He attended college at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where he graduated in 1990 with a B.S. in business.  He is a member of the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity.  After graduating from Miami University, he attended Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan where he graduated in 1993 with honors.. Karl started his legal career working at the law firm of Hand Muenich Wilk & Reid located in Highland, Indiana.  His father and legal mentor, Albert C. Hand, was the founder of the law firm.  For several years, Karl and his father worked together in civil practice, including insurance defense, personal injury, and business litigation.  His father instilled in him the obligation of representing every client’s concern or need with diligence and respect..
