Location: St. Louis, Missouri Hello! I filed for a Dissolution of Marriage w/o children for an international marriage. I never registered that marriage with the US and I didn’t submit a certificate of marriage during filing. The reason I didn’t submit a certificate was because it wasn’t a requirement when I asked the clerk. Now the judge sent a correspondence letter stating, “The court has reviewed your file and will be unable to grant a dissolution of marriage based upon the documents you filed because the petition you filed fails to state a claim upon which relief can be granted. If you have used the forms from the court website, then you may have left certain questions blank or answered them incorrectly.” Is this because I didn’t submit the certificate of marriage or are my forms truly incomplete/wrong? Should I get an attorney or ask for help with the family self advocacy center? Thank you!

I worked at caseys for 6 months and recently my stepson's (hes 6 years old) father died in a horrible way in front of him while his dad had him for the week and it really affected my wife and him. Yesterday was the funeral and my wife really wanted me to stay home today and call off from work. When I called in to request time off my manager refused and said she "understand(s) but you have to work". I ended up calling her and telling her that me taking time off is not optional and if it gets me in trouble or fired so be it. She just told me she'd remove me from the schedule and fired me. I really dont care about losing the job because we're good on money but I do think it was super heartless of her to do so. Am I crazy for thinking that? Location: Missouri

We live in location: Missouri, and she works at a local dairy farm, but this farm has a store attached to it where she works. Her primary duty is to give tours, process transactions, stock the store, and other basic duties unrelated to the actual farm work. She works almost 10 hour days, 5 days a week, and doesn’t get paid overtime because there is no federal requirement to give farm workers overtime. I think this is absurd by itself, but the company she works for seems pretty shady and exploitive of their employees. My question is, is this okay? She doesn’t interact with the farm besides showcasing baby cows, all of her chores are inside, in the retail part of the farm.

Location: Missouri This is about an employee I know. This employee caught cyclosporiasis from the outbreak that's slowly sweeping the nation. She went to the emergency room, they misdiagnosed her as only having food poisoning, so instead of giving her an antibiotic that would have cured her in a few days, she was sick for 3 weeks. She used up all her sick time because of this and apparently, the doctors notes she had weren't enough. She went to the emergency room a *second* time and that's when they properly diagnosed her with cyclosporiasis and gave her an antibiotic that cured her within 3 days. She was scheduled to come back to work tomorrow, but they just fired her today. Does she have any legal/civil recourse for this? Or is her only option filing for unemployment?

Location: Missouri Hello, I am needing help with getting my dog to legally live with me in my apartment. My apartment is a studio on the second floor and the lease said in all caps NO PETS. But I need to do something to save my dog. Ask questions if need be, ill try to answer all of them. But the family friend could be on here, and I don't want them to know. For context, my grandpa was taking care of him while I go to school, till he passed away last March. My dog wasn't really in a better situation there, but id prefer that to how it is now. He is now at a family friends place, with the plan being id take him once I graduated or found a place that allowed pets. The reason I want him asap is because that family friend is also taking care of other animals, well over 12 counting my dog. And he has gotten better treatment since he got there, but just recently 2 animals died, another dog is losing fur in some places, and my dog got some almost open wound scabs by his tail. He has only been there for a little over a year, and ive still got a year and a half left of school. If thats happening almost a year and half of time being there, idk what might happen in the next year or so. No one else can take care of him,…
